Access to Treatment in Portland, OR

One of the most critical areas to help combat the opioid epidemic is to break down the barriers for evidence based treatment. People who suffer from substance use disorder do not have time to wait. When they need help, they should receive help as soon as possible and with minimal hurdles to jump.

If you know someone in the Portland Metro Area who needs help due to a substance use disorder, please have them call CODA, 855-SEE-CODA (855-733-2632. CODA is Oregon’s oldest opioid treatment program and provides quick access to evidence based treatment and their call center will connect people can get with same day treatment (depending on time of day of the call and the treatment location the patient wants) with minimal barriers. The call center can also help people enroll into the Oregon Health Plan.

Also, if you know someone who may be homeless, please let them know about The Resource Center if they do not already.

Living on the streets is tough – mentally, physically, and emotionally. To survive, those experiencing homelessness need access to basic services and safe spaces to be during the day. Transition Projects’ Resource Center is that point of access. The Resource Center helps connect people to a wide range of resources and services daily.
